Fishing Rod Warantee

Very poor customer service. I corresponded with St Croix several times about a broken rod connection and have had no response.
I expected some interaction and satisfaction from their warrantee statement; but nothing!

This is my first fishing rod since I was a kid. I just got addicted to fishing & this rod is keeping me out in the river to enjoy this obsession. I’ll probably purchase another rod in the future. High quality; just as I expected!

Broke 3rd Day On The Water

I was super excited for this rod as i travel a lot and fish several types of water,Unfortunately this pole broke on 3rd day out, Warranty process is a nightmare. For this kind of money you should not have these issues. Very Disappointed

Perfect travel rod!

Caught 10 strippers in first few days of use. Great rod. Does not feel like a “travel rod”.

Travel Spinning Rod Snapped on a small fish

Spent a massive amount of money on this rod to have it snap within 15 minutes of its first use on the first fish and first hookset. Probably a 2-4lb fish as it stayed on for a bit after the rod broke. It did not break on an eyelit or on a joint. It was assembled correctly and it snapped in the middle of the 2nd smallest of 4 pieces.
I have never had this happen with any rod, and I buy a lot of cheapo rods from Canadian Tire, Bass Pro, etc. This was the most expensive rod I have ever purchased and resulted in the absolute worst experience I have ever had with any fishing rod (from $10 rods all the way up to $300).
I cannot believe I am now required to pay more $$ to get a replacement piece in what is clearly a defective part. if the part would be sent out to me without hassle free of charge (honestly I bought the rod in January, it broke in February on my first fishing trip with it, in the first 15 minutes of fishing), then I would certainly modify my rating. But to ask for me to pay warranty processing fees and cover your overhead when it is your composite layup manufacturing problem? unbelieveable. I can go out and purchase a rod locally for cheaper than the processing fee and it will probably serve me better than this thing.
Am I a little over the top with this review? maybe. But I lost out on a week of fishing in the backcountry when I had no access to other equipment.
