I’ve the 74HF, had it awhile now. NEVER figured i say this but it’s so much better than the x-extreme. which is just unbelievable. good balance, plenty of power and sensitivity is excellent. at 75yrs of age it helps on all day/ all week fishing on Lake Fork And Toledo Bend. WORTH EVERY DOLLAR, MY OPINION UNDER PRICED!!!!

After asking and researching about what kind of rod I should use for throwing a bladed jig I finally decided to use the 7'4 mhm Legend Glass, with a 7:1 ratio reel, all I have to say is, it really took away the learning curve, I've always been a speed worm guy, letting the baits swim thru grass and never had a great deal of luck throwing a bladed jig with a regular carbon fiber rod, that parabolic bend and action really does give you the time to react and set that hook when you get that bite!..... loved it so much I got 2 more!

Sold my Panfish Series to upgrade to the Avid Series. I love to bobber fish for crappie, and the 7’3” MLXF is perfect for the job. If you’re serious about panfish don’t think twice. Pull the trigger on this light, well balanced workhorse. Love my St. Croix rods!

Amazing rod! Light, well balanced, sensitive, casts light lures like a rocket, and the action os just right for the proposal, whitout losing backbone for fighting larger fishs.
I couldn't ask for more in a lighweight spinning setup, worth every Penny!
