Went all in and purchased a PHX63MXF and PHXS68MXF to upgrade some older rods, which has been a great decision and money well spent. I have been fishing the Physyx rods hard for the better part of 3 months now with zero complains. I am very impressed with the sensitivity, power and action of both rods. Simply put, these rods have exceeded my expectations. The engineering, construction, innovation and quality of the rods are exactly what I would expect from St Croix.
The carbon fiber handle is very comfortable, strong, durable and easy to clean. The carbon fiber handle does add some weight to the rod, but once a reel is seated on the rod(s), these are the most perfectly balanced rod/reel combos I have had in my hands.
I thought the casting trigger was a bit of a gimmick but quickly figured out that it’s an awesome functional feature on these rods. For me, the casting trigger has improved my long-distance casting and accuracy which has been a huge advantage.
Thank you St. Croix for your innovation, quality and attention to details to make anglers great. I would highly recommend the Physyx rods to take your fishing passion to the next level.
Great Rod, bought it to shake the minnow. Works well with smaller minnows and handles bigger fish well, I am very happy with it.

First bass on the new 7'10" Black Bass rod was a 10.1 pound Florida Giant flipping. That stick jerked this big girl r8ght off her feet.
