3 PBs on Mojo Yaks

I've caught my 3 personal best fish, a 35 inch snook, a 39"+ redfish and a black drum that was just plain huge (over 40lbs), all in my kayak. The two drum both caught on medium light versions using 10lb braid and 20lb leader. Love 'em. Please keep making this line.

Super Star Customer Service?

Rod tip broke back in April while casting on second time out. Trimmed back tip and kept fishing with it. Caught a few fish this year and used around a dozen times.
Pulled the Rooster Tail down into the hook keeper and broke a second time! The most annoying thing is a filed a claim on August 26th. Followed up again and crickets.
I was excited about my first St.Croix rod. I gave them a pass when it broke but this customer service part is ridiculous. Never again.

No Mojo from the Mojo Yak

I first bought the Mojo Yak and it broke on a 15 inch trout, while it was next to my kayak. St Croix replaced the rod at a cost of 50 dollars (Except I was on hold for 45 minutes to get the new rod). The replacement rod broke on the 4th fish a 22 inch redfish, still have not had any resolution was on hold for 48 minutes today and had other things to do. This rod is not worth 20 dollars much less 160, there call to get replacement policy and no actual customer service reps, is nonsense.

my favorite inshore rod

I got the 7' medium 6-12lb last spring for inshore fishing from my kayak with light 1/8, 3/16, and 1/4 jigs and 3" soft plastic lures. I fish it with a 1000 stradic ci4 with 10lb line. I love light setups, and this is by far my most favorite, it is so light you can cast it all day and not even think twice. It has so much power for such a light setup. I use this rod for small reds, trout, and flounder and I have landed hundreds of fish on it already. On occasion I have hooked into some larger fish, the largest landed on this rod being a 31.5" red while trout fishing, and I have landed a bunch of reds in the 20's on this without any issue whatsoever, just tire them out, you are not going to horse them in with this. Casts a mile, super sensitive so I can always feel what my jig head is doing on the bottom, great finish and feeling in your hand, love the grip! I think fish that are 12-20 inches are the sweet spot for this rod, I love it, best rod I have ever owned.

Broken rod tip

I got a 7’6 medium heavy as my first ever st croix rod. I was so exited to use it for the first time but it snapped when I set the hook an undersized bass. I am vey disappointed in that happening from a rod of this price.
