This was my first St. Croix rod 7-1 Medium Fast Mojo. I owned it for about two months and it broke while pulling on a moderate fish maybe 3rd or 4th time of use.
Pretty big disappointment for what should be a premium rod.
When I submitted the warranty I received a confirmation that said it would take 14-17 days: fair enough. I waited to 24 days an decided to call. I then get charged $60 fee.
Probably will stay away from St. Croix going forward.
Love the rod enough that I bought 2 more
Putting my review here, because I didn't realize I was buying a discontinued Mojo Bass rod only a few months ago. The tips on both the cast and spin I bought are bad. One is half gone on the left side. The spin rod has a groove worn, and I've only thrown worms on it. I'm supposed to have new tips sent my way, but it's been a week. Love the rod action, but don't really think I should be replacing tips on two high priced rods, so soon
So I was out fishing and I was casting my mojo bass trigon, and the butt had just broke while my hand was holding there?? Oh I also forgot to say that i had just bought this rod July 5th 2024. It is currently July 26 2024. I took the rod out for maybe 10 times this month and its already broken. Nice way to spend $180
