Award winning Legend Glass completely redefined performance in the crankbait category. Unbelievably light in weight, the linear S-glass blanks with IPC mandrel technology give reason to why this series quickly became the preferred rod for serious crankbait anglers.

I've done a lot of fishing and love the 6'10" medium rod
BUT
Right now I use the one I have for all swim and topwater lures but use my old Fenwick 7' medium power fast action fast taper rod for all soft baits .
I would love if they introduced a 6'10" or 7' medium power fast action fast taper legend glass rod.
I'd buy one the day it was available and the two legend glass rods would be my main rods.
C'mon guys. You can do this.
I reviewed this rod when I received it but I’ve used it now and it’s way better than I first described.
Caught about a dozen smallmouth. The largest 2 3/4 lb. Lost a couple larger at the boat. Fished a whopper plopper most of the day but also various swim baits.
It’s fantastic running lures and as far as handling fish.
It’s a beast.
Thanks to St Croix for such a fine product.
Been using my Fenwick FS-70 since about 1970 until I got a Mojo Bass last year.
Two weeks ago on a trip with my son a nice 5+ pounder bolted under the boat and SNAP. I figure if graphite snaps that easily it doesn't want to be a fishing rod.
Of course St Croix did the right thing and after a chat with the tech, I decided to go with this USA made Legend S- Glass 6'10" spinning rod.
Here you go
Fit & Finish - Nothing could be better. Absolutely perfect and beautiful rod.
Feel and sensitivity - Just great. What happens at the tip you'll feel in your fingers.
Strength - IT'S STRONG. Real Strong
Flexibility - There will be no more SNAP! Stiff enough to work a lure but flexible enough for worm fishing.
Weight - It's very light and will help with this old guys hand fatigue.
Some observations and my thoughts
I was a little skeptical that the stripper guide was a bit small but the guide sequence works fantastic.
The high guides, Stripper and chokes, are a really nice touch Keeps the line away from the blank and stops the wet line from sticking to it.
The reel seat seems to feel like you don't want to be heavy handed tightening the reel down.
All in all I'm completely happy with it and only have good things to say.
I'm finally confident to give the Fenwick the backup role.
One thing though! It might be a good idea to expand the product description on the site to include Guide and reel seat type and handle material so one can read about it instead of guessing from the photo.
I purchased the M/M 7'2'' spinning version...It was love at first bite literally. I caught a decent small mouth on my first outing using a River2Sea Ruckus ''Perch color'' lipless crankbait , I had no clue I got bit until I started reeling then thud, I first thought dang I got a freaking snag the rod tip started to load up and bam I had my first smallmouth bass. I was thoroughly impressed with the parabolic bend, I never yanked the rod to set the r the hook I just kept reeling with my Shimano Stradic CI4+ 4000 spinning reel until I got her into shore. I was very happy to say the least. My second outing I ran through all my tackle ''crankbaits'' and nothing then I tied on a Reef Runner Cicada ''GOLD 3/8 oz.'' blade bait, first cast and I bet I didn't make more than 5 revolutions and bam a hefty Brown Trout then another and another and another. This rod is freaking awesome!!! I'm NO stranger to ST. Croix rods I own 4 and I bought my wife 3. My friends and co-workers chuckle when I talk about the good money I've spent on my fishing rods and reels but I'll put my rods up against anybody's Thanks to ST. Croix,
