I bought the St Croix Triumph rod 1 year ago and have used it on a fishing trip for 5 days in 2023 and on day 3 of our boat-in fishing trip this year, it broke on the retrieve of 1 .5 bass for no reason. It snapped about 4 inches above the join on my 2-piece rod. This is certainly not what I expected when I was upsold by the retailer to St Croix quality.

I have a nice 2500 series daiwa reel attached. Well balanced with a great hand feel. I find casting to be very smooth and a bit more accurate than other poles of similar specs. I've used it for catching brown trout in creeks and catching bluegill for fun with the family. I'll be purchasing more rods from St Croix.

I’ve been using this rod for a few years now and it’s my all time favorite go to for trout and bass. Love it so much I’m getting my dad one for Father’s Day so he can put one to use too!

bought the TSR66MHF4 ....thought it was great till I went to use it for the third time, when it broke the top 4 inches, while I was stringing it, with minimal pressure on it

It's hard for me to imagine fishing with any other rods.
