I am 69 and have been fishing all my life. I have owned many St Croix rods but this rod has outperformed them all for me. It is fast, crisp, light weight, gives quick hook sets, great sensitivity, the grip feels AWSOME in the hand, loads up beautifully and will handle big reds and over slot snook easily. On top of that it is a great looking rod. Clearly my all time favorite rod. Thank you St Croix for producing such quality!!! Dale
The Legend elite musky series is not so easy to get in Scandinavia. Fortunately, there are a few dealers who sell these rods in small quantities and you have to be quick, because they sell out fast. And for good reasons.
The LEM86MHF 3/4-3 ounce and the LEM90HF 3-8 ounce are both excellent rods for pike fishing, but cover two different ranges. The lighter rod is suitable for lures up to 100 grammes, above that I would consider the heavier rod. However, together these two rods cover almost every lure available for northern pike. They are really fun to fish with and the rods are very sensitive and flexible, especially the LEM86MHF 3/4-3 ounce.
Both rods perform very well in the categories: Build quality, fish handling, sensitivity and casting.
If you find the right rod for your purpose, you will not be disappointed. Or do as I did and buy both.
