I've only had the opportunity to use this rod a few times. Using it for throwing 1/2-3/4 oz. jigs. Sensitivity is good. Would prefer it to be a little lighter. Long cork handle could be shortened and redesigned similar to legend series.

I purchased this rod about 10 years ago. I mainly fish walleye and this rod has such a feel transmitted through the carbon fiber that I can detect the slightest bite. I string my reel with Spider Wire and the combination of this rod and the line has been the best combination I could ever imagine. I recently broke the end of the rod completely due to my error and when I contacted St. Croix for replacement they provided the best customer service imaginable. They took my information and I paid a small fee for packaging and shipping. A new replacement St Croix rod was at my door in less than two weeks. I cannot say enough about how pleased I am with St. Croix products and their customer service.

If you are serious about fishing and want the best rod made, seriously consider making St. Croix your next investment. You will be glad you did.
