This rod is pure muscle. I lost a lot of muskie this past season because of a weak spinning rod and this rod is a pure beast. It just oozes strength and muscle you need for that initial hookset. It's a total game changer. Would like to see a 9' version but I'll take what I can get. Well built and lightweight

Tough Rod

Hahahaha Pat!! I take it you're from the US. All good, stay south. More Georgian Bay musky for me! Couldn't handle our winters anyway, requires true grit.

previous reviewers lack of scrotums

2nd reviewer doesn't like the rod because it's too heavy for his girlie arms. Nut up ma'am!!!
3rd reviewer spells like she's from canada, so with that knowledge on hand, who can take her review seriously.

Great rod

Obviously those who wrote previous reviews never handled a proper musky rod. Its a great musky rod. Pair it with a slow retrieve saltwater reel in 5000-6000 range and you have yourself a killer blade rod.

Overall this is a nice rod.Gave it one star because you have to go to the gym regularly in order to use it.It is so heavy that your arms give out after using it a couple of hours.Bought it online because no local stores had one to check out.Big mistake!St Croix usually puts a lot of thought into their rods ,but not this one.Have a couple of their bass rods and they are awsome.Very disappointed. Will have to find a new ros
