Antonio Cipollone

Everyone should report Antonio Cipollone's (mama mia) "reviews" that he plastered all over this site. Wish he hasn't artifically drove down the ratings on all these great rods because he doesn't understand how warranties work.

Love em! I chase bass in a kayak and love my other St. Croixs so gave these a go. Use the ML, M and MH. The short handle is nice and casts just fine. Love the ML as a dropshot stick! These rods have all the feel and the backbone feels great when you pull back on em. My M can set a 5/0 superline EWG in no problem and I am not a big swinger lol. Kind of needed when you get those awkward hook sets sitting in your seat getting owned by the elements or caught off guard.

Do not buy

Do not buy anything from St Croix. If you would like to hear my story about how they treated me reach out and I will explain to you my experience. I will provide you with my instagram or email where you can see the full email chain with them. I have never met a company who treats their customers as poorly as they have treated me.

Kayakers need this rod!

I've used this 7' medium-fast St. Croix Mojo Yak Spinning Rod for one full season of bass fishing. It is exactly what I needed for finesse presentations. The grip area on most spinning rods is too long for the confines of kayak fishing. For example, I found I would often catch the rod butt on the cuff of my shirt sleeve. (I always wear long-sleeves for sun and bug protection.) That did not happen once with this rod. The grip on the Mojo Yak is comfortable throughout a long day on the lake. Even though the rod-butt is shorter, the rod feels well-balanced and provides the leverage needed to set the hook and reel the bass in. I plan on purchasing the heavier weight this year!
