St. Croix Technology That Elevates Performance
IPC
May 18, 2023
Tech: Integrated Poly Curve (IPC) Technology
Applications: Tooling technology that eliminates all transition points and results in one continuous taper
Primary Benefits: Rod blanks with increased strength, greater sensitivity, and smoother actions
Used On: All Legend, Avid, and Mojo Series rods, plus Victory, Onchor, Rift, and Imperial Salt
What is IPC?
IPC (Integrated Poly Curve) is a proprietary St. Croix tooling technology that eliminates all transition points in a rod blank, creating one continuous taper.
What Does IPC Do?
By eliminating transition points, IPC also eliminates relative weak spots. The results in a more uniform wall thickness, creating rod blanks that are stronger. The elimination of transition points also allows for more efficient energy transmission, which results in increased sensitivity while promoting smoother actions with better feel.
IPC technology can be used with any rod-building material, and is therefore incorporated into a wide range of St. Croix rods at a variety of different price points. Such application extends the technology’s significant performance benefits to an equally wide range of anglers.
IPC technology is just one of many specialized, proprietary technologies and materials that allow St. Croix to handcraft the Best Rods on Earth and deliver on our promise of giving anglers the upper hand during their valuable time on the water.
