Worst rods ever

These rods break in less than a year and than you have to pay a 60 process fee which is crap. I had three rods and all of them. Broke they should be out of business. Don’t waste your time and money on this garbage.

I bought a PS66MHF2 at the Cabelas in Saskatoon on 8/5/24. I was excited to go fishing with the new rod a couple of days later. I was reeling in a Northern Pike that was ~35" and the top section of the rod broke. St. Croix sent me a new top section. I went back up to northern Saskatchewan with the rod again on 7/7/25. I was reeling in a northern pike ~30" long and the top section broke again. I do not know what is going on with the quality. This is not a cheap rod and should not break so easily. I then fished with my Fenwick which I have had for years, and it has never broken.

The sticker under the clear coat with the rod information has bubbles present. You can push the bubbles around with your finger, it looks horrible. I emailed st.croix twice about my concern and they never responded.

Add this one to your arsenal!

The rod feels like holding air, possibly the lightest thing I’ve ever had. Great action and casting is a pleasure. The whip on the cast is crisp and really sends the line!

Excellent rods

I recently purchased a Premier spinning rod from Cabelas and I’m really enjoying it. I’ve had this on the water several times now and caught some 3 and 4 pound large bass. It’s light in the hands, extremely sensitive and is a please to fish with. Additionally, I like the fact these are made here in America. I’ll be adding more of these to my collection very soon.
