Broke on the first trout

"It broke on the first trout I hooked. This was a small Georgia rainbow stocker. I had to get my back-up pole to keep fishing. It's sad I paid 130. 00 for this pole thinking it was a quality pole that I was going to use for years and now it cost 60. 00 to warranty it out. I think from now own, I will be choosing another brand for quality that's reliable."

Game Changer - St. Croix Trout Series

"I have been an Ugly Stick faithful for over 40 years and would consider myself an advanced fisherman. I bought a 6 ft. St. Croix TFS6OULF2 ulta ligh pole and trout fished it this weekend. The pole was light, sensitive, and paired it with a Shimano Miravel 1000. I caught many rainbow trout in the 14-17 inch range with a german brown of 21 inches and several pounds as the largest. The pole picked up the bite quick with sensitivity and the pole would allow for some fun fights with nice runs and pulls from the fish that added some extra Wow factor to fishing. I absolutely love this pole and made sure everyone on the boat got a chance to catch a fish on it. This pole is my new favorite and a game changer for trout! Thank you St. Croix!"

Best trout rod in extra fast style

"I purchased the 7’, light, extra fast action rod. It has the best sensitivity of any fishing pole I’ve ever owned."

Expensive Ultralight

"I got the Ultralight for my friend for her birthday. It's worse than her usual $35 Shakespeare from Walmart. No backbone. She laughed as she tried to lift an 8" crappie out of the water. Do not recommend. What a joke."

"prefered the look of the old trout line better the blanks feel the same in hand just glad that the panfish ones are still cork and looking at specs probably the same exact blanks same reel seat but have cork and with the length i prefer in an ul 20 bucks cheaper. still a great rod in the hand but cant stand foam"

In less than a

"In less than a year the rod guides are heavily grooved. If it wasn't for that this would be a great rod. The stainless steel rod guides do not last long. I can claim warranty but I'm going to have the same problem again in less than a year again."

Bought an Ultralute TFS60ULF2

"Bought an Ultralute TFS60ULF2 in May. Used it twice on small trot ponds catching a number of 12 inch fish. Went to use it on a trip to Utah in July and the tip came off just above the second ferrule. Rod was always carried in a Plano plastic case and wrapped in a cloth bag. So disappointing to purchase what I thought to be a quality rod and it turns out to be junk. Sixty dollars for them to honor the warrant on a 6 month old rod. Shame"

Rod arrived broken.

"Ordered a 6 ft fast action light weight trout rod on 5/27. It shipped on 5/28 and it arrived broken on 6/3. I opened it in front of the UPS driver who confirmed it was broken and took the rod, shipping invoice (I took a photo) and the packaging. I emailed St Croix on 6/3 to let them know. Gave them all the needed info. Got an immediate auto generated-we got your email. Our team is working on it-reply. Yesterday, 7 days later no response so I called and after 63 minutes of being on hold I followed their instructipn and pressed ""1"" to hold my spot in line for a call back. I did get a call back and the employee looked up my order number and said that he would take it from there and contact UPS. I have no doubt that this will be taken care of very soon."
