"This great rod I bought in 2018 as my retirement gift. It is so sensitive that you can feel live bait, mud minnows, panic before the strike and strong enough to land 36 inch red fish. Five thousand three hundred forty three fish later the rod tip broke to the second eye, had to cut the rod to submit the warranty. Brought water to my eyes, kind of like loosing your dog."

"St croix is one of my favorite rod companies and when the time came that I needed to get an inshore rod, I was confident that this rod would get the job done. I paired this with a Stradic fm 3k and it’s an absolute dream for blues, schoolies and little tunny around cape cod. The fast action makes it able to cast anything from horizontal jigs to light plugs with immense accuracy and the 7. 6’s medium power is perfect when needing to throw lighter baits in freshwater without compromising casting distances. This graphite rod looks amazing with completely carbon guides. However it does scratch really easily so definitely don’t leave it on a rock and maybe even take your watch off when fishing it. Overall I use this thing almost every day and once you hook a fish, it’s a feeling unlike any other, the cutting edge technology even in simple things such as its grip makes this rod worth every penny. Whether I catch something or reel in every cast without a hit, as long as I’m using this baby, the trip was successful."

"Of my 10 rod/reel combo…… this rod beats every other one I own. Wind Buster, Steez AGS, Poisin Adrena, Lamiglas, NRX…etc. The feel and sensitivity is unmatched. I have mine paired with a Daiwa Exist 3000. Life is good, even when fish aren’t biting it’s a pure joy to own."

Incredible Sensitivity
"This will be our 2nd one in our array of fishing rods for my wife and I. We fish in south Louisiana. We are amazed when we catch fish on them and the feel that generates directly into your hand. So when we are on fish and we lose tackle or have to switch to another rod we are bummed. So we just purchased another two so the odds are a lot less of that happening. The rod easily handles bull reds with no fear of breaking the rod. We have handled several big reds with 8# diameter 30# power pro matched with the Shimano Stradic Ci4+ in a 4000 size. This is are go two set up. Awesome Rod THX St Croix! Well worth the money!!!"

"Whitish Rods Matter, probably one of the sexiest rods I own, I have the freshwater version too but this one is my favorite. Paired with a Daiwa Ryoga SLP Works. I don’t even care if I’m catching fish, it’s a blast just to be out there with rod/reel in hand. All my guest who use my rods prefer the St. Croix hands down."
