Amazing quality

"The lightest most sensitive panfish rod I have ever used."

Best of the best

"I own all three panfish rods available and this one out does the others, smoothest casting rod I’ve ever owned"

St. Croix Legend Elite Panfish Rod

"Lightest most sensitive rod I ever used for panfish. Great castability and you feel everything. A blade of grass, light biting panfish and different bottom compositions are easily felt. An absolute pleasure to fish."

Absolutely worth the upgrade, A top tier rod!!!

"I’m an exclusive ultralight(UL) fisherman and have used many UL rods from the top tier manufacturers. The St. Croix Legend Elite panfish is by far the most sensitive and responsive rod I have used. The build quality is S tier, not a single flaw or miss-wrap anywhere. The coating is perfect in every way and the QA/QC was preformed on the highest level. The split grip is extremely comfortable and is well thought out. The seats lock tight and never need re-tightening. The cork is smooth and finished wonderfully. The guides are quiet and allow very light braids to easily slip through. The blank has appropriate strength and is easily loaded with repeatable feedback. Under load the rod felt well balanced and predictable. Sensitivity is Incredible, it’s such an upgrade from the Premier series. I can literally feel the blades on a 1/32 spinner; it’s incredible! Pair this rod with a 500 or 1000 size reel with 4lb braided mainline and a 8X leader and you will be blown away. If you’re looking for the most sensitive, balanced and well built UL rod look no further."

Finally got one!

"Over two years ago I tried buying this rod but it wasn’t available. I got a shorter 6’4†model and immediately knew I had the best rod style for my panfish trips to the Shenandoah River. Now I have the 7’ model I’ve wanted all this time and I couldn’t be any happier with my choice once again. St Croix quality is second to none!"

Ridiculously Delightful

"My wife gifted me the 5'6"" for our anniversary and I took it to my favorite river this morning. The technology St. Croix has used on this rod is unbelievably light, sensitive and absolutely ""The Best Rod on Earth"". It holds fish with a perfect flex and action. It has ruined me for life. I highly recommend and thank you St. Croix for being my partner in crime for over 40 years now. Tight lines and Godspeed!"

Worth every penny!

"I've own the first gen trout series rods for a while that doubled well for stream trout and panfish. Ended up buying two of those and ran it for a few years and just figured it was time for something more serious. Glad St Croix finally offered the option since it was hard to find many choices for a high end panfish specific rod. Bought the 6'9"" and threw on a 2000 vanford with 4lb nanofil and 4lb fluoro leader and I was in love. First outing and I couldn't believe the sensitivity I was experiencing. Casted phenomenally with the perfect load on light jigs and bobber where you didn't have to force your cast because the rod did all the casting for you. I was able to detect bites I never imagined on small 4-5"" sunnies that usually steal your bait, and literally hooked every one. I've caught 3-4lb smallmouth on it with accidental snags from 8lb+ carp and its handled all of them. Loved the combo so much, I saw someone post another 6'9 for sale on Facebook and hopped on it. Now I own 2 of them and think they are worth every penny. Might be one of the few rods I own (over 30 if them) where I feel is actually worth every penny."

My go to rod for everything

"I got this rod (7’ light) a couple of months ago to replace my panfish series rod. As a former custom rod builder; this is the best commercially produced rod I have ever felt compared to an NRX and my legend inshore. The action is perfect for pretty much everything. It is super lightweight, balances perfectly with my 1000 vanford, and it handles BIG fish. It has plenty of backbone and a soft enough tip to cast small lures very far. For me, this rod has the perfect balance of backbone and tip. The biggest fish on this is a 43†king salmon. I’ve caught my pb coho (13lbs) and pb rainbow (27â€Â) with this as well. I am now buying a 1000 stella to complete this setup and I am considering buying another one. If you’re a serious fishermen that loves catching monster fish with the lightest tackle possible, I cannot imagine a better rod than this. PS I am considering replacing the running guides (yes i know they’re torzite with titanium frames) with titanium recoils for reducing weight and increasing durability."

My go to for crappie

"I decided to splurge after Great performance from the panfish series. This rod is worth every penny! Incredible sensitivity and my go to for vertical jigging for crappie here in Georgia and adjoining states from May to December. I fish a LOT and have caught way over a thousand crappie on this rod along with the occasional big catfish or hybrid encounters. Would recommend to anyone and know it would be an amazing trout rod too."
