Terrible

"Don’t buy unless you like purchasing a new rod every 6 months. First one broke about a month after I bought it. Bass Pro replaced it and the second one broke about 6 months later. Then St. Croix wants you to give them $60 more to get a replacement only to have it break. I would rather spend my money on something more reliable."

Great rod…. poor real seat

"I really like the rod but as others have mentioned the real seat does not fully tighten. For me, it seems tight but when I go to set the hook it “jumps” the groove and loosens up. Because it is plastic it allows you to overspin it just like you can do with a cheap water bottle cap. I have many st croix rods and typically love them but this one misses the mark with the real seat."

Another stellar rod from St

"Another stellar rod from St croix rods! Best rods on earth!"

Marty H. (5/5)

Terrible reel seat

"Rod is good and sensitive. Multiple people have this same issue though. The reel seat will not fully tighten and when you do it comes loose. Do not buy this spinning rod, they will not warranty reel seats on top of it."

After hearing great things

"After hearing great things about these rods I bought a $300 Avid. It broke pretty quick. I replaced with a Triumph thinking it would be a temp while I go through the warranty process on the Avid (and a good back up). Well - over a month in to the pain in the a$$ warranty process and I can’t get anyone on the phone. I’ve tried 3 calls - 2 on hold for 30 minutes. And an email that was ignored. So much for the great rod rep."
