"The rod is great- one of the best on the market. However I think it could be THE best with just a couple of tweaks. I own several of the models. I would much prefer a double locking reel seat nut, preferably aluminum, and a touch more epoxy on the reel seats (I've had two spin/break loose). Additionally, the handles, mainly on the longer models, are too long. People usually buy longer rods for casting distance. You lose the fishability and casting distance when the length is added to the butt. Handle length 4 is good for all lengths under 7'9"- after which, the #5 is good. And the rubber gimbal is perfect for all lengths honestly. Also, 7'6" is about the longest one-piece rod you can take on a commercial airline in a rod tube. For fishermen who travel around the world, we'd like to see all of the actions/powers/lure weight ratings in this size specifically (or maybe a 7'4" even better). I'm available if you want to hire me for product development :) Also. . . can we get this rod in purple?"
"Best purchase I’ve made ever!! If you need a sensitive inshore rod, so sensitive that you can feel the shrimp wiggling on you line this is the rod! Also strong enough to land a giant Snook with no problem!"
"ITLS73MF Rod loads great for casting distance, first time out with it and didn't get any fish hooked because lots of short strikes with colder water. Great touch and feedback to tell when lure is fouled with vegetation, tail bump or a strike. Great rod"
"I have 10 say cries rods already this one did not let me down. It’s awesome."
"TLS70MHF In 2024 the Legend Tournament and Avid inshore had shorter #2 or #3 rod butts. Since then, the rod tip to reel seat is shorter making the rod less fishable, likable than the 2024 models and less casting distance because there is less rod to load. Since then the 7ft fishes like a 6'9 and the 7;3 like a 7ft except both have more weight. This was my first time out fishing with the TLS70MHF and I would send both back if I could for 7'6 to match performance "Leverage" of my 7'3 ITLS73MF."
"It's the perfect inshore rod. I have lots of St Croix Avid Inshore's and wanted more sensitivity, I bought a Waterloo last year and didn't like it. The Legend Tournament Inshore is perfect and ordered two more in Med Heavy 7ft. Love exactly the sensitivity I wanted with exposed rod at rod seat and lighter weight to feel the pickup on jerk bait and Borboleta LeLe's."
"Haven’t caught anything on it yet but it fishes nice."
"I bought one of the Mojo rods back in 2015 fish it every year at the coast casting in the surf and on the boat throwing steals from barn till dark nine days at a time never once had an issue with it pay with a pin model three 3000 was that awesome real for the 23 pound blues in the serve but when you hook large of fish, the real didn’t have to crank and power until it broke last year, he didn’t break on his own fault would buy it again in 7 foot six medium but the reviews I’ve been reading or seeing that not as good as they once were so I’ve been looking at getting a legend tournament 7 foot six medium or medium heavy surf to go my pan Italian 3000 or with a Shimano Stella 5000 FKXG since I like burning steals in the serve and wanting more reek to get the tuna they’re running thinking the 76 may be too short for still a 5000 for the Eye guys may not be big enough can’t really haul a one piece rod over 711 in my car don’t particularly care for two piece rods, but I know a 86 or 9’9 foot six rug would be the best suit for me when it’s still a 5000 y’all have any suggestions? Please hit me up. Let me know. I’d appreciate it."
"St Croix claims to have a warranty but they do not. File a claim and they will charge you $60. This is not a warrant. They are charging you for shipping and the cost of the rod. You paid for that when you bought a $300 rod. Additionally they’ll make you destroy your rod even if it still has utility. Not customer minded. Not conservation minded. Shop elsewhere."
