"Super happy with my purchase and have only good things to say about this rod. Very sensitive with a handle that can be held all day with minimal fatigue. Second cast with the new rod I hooked into a 50" sturgeon which gave the rod a significant workout without fail. Already planning my next purchase. I do wish the rod came in a 6'6" configuration."

"XFC74HF is my primary jig rod paired up with a Shimano Metanium DC. It is the one rod that I never leave home without. The sensitivity is insane. You feel every little tick and bounce as you work a jig across the bottom. It also has the power needed for the really hard hook sets required with jig fishing and it has the strength to be able to knock over a heavy bass as it rises out of the water to try and shake a hook. Worth every penny."

"Not happy with warranty service. A guide broke ,called st croix. said they don't Replace guides. but only would give me credit toward a new rod costing me an additional $325. 00 for a new rod. they wouldn't just send me a new guide."
