Glue under handle broke

"Good feeling rod. Had the rod about 2-3 weeks. Fished it a few times and heard a pop on my cast. The reel seat started spinning around the blank. I know I saw this issue in another review. Definitely an issue to look into."

Broken tip need new top section. Broke on first us

"I just bought this rod and the tip broke on first use ?? Maybe in shipping? Can I get the top half shipped to me ?? I spent 250$ on the rod and don’t want to give up on it"

Triumph surf 9’0â€Â

"I love this Rod. It casts as well as my 10’6†triumph. Paired with a vr125 it’s very well balanced and has a light feel. Caught a slot striper on the first cast with it!"

Well Balanced

"Beautiful right out of the box. Feels very balanced too, can’t wait to try it"

Great value

"I’ve fished with the Triumph 9’ medium power mod-fast action surf rod , 2 piece, for over 6 years now and I’m very impressed with the performance given the relatively low cost. I’ve caught hundreds of good sized striped bass and bluefish from the surf and the kayak without one breakage. My one minor issue was a reel seat that rotated which I needed to fix with a screw but that’s it. Very light and versatile- great value for the $$$."

Issues

"Got this rod in December. Used it about 4 times in the span of 6 months. Just a few weeks ago I noticed the split grip was moving by itself (kind of like spinning so every time I would cast, the whole rod would rotate around the cork). Anyways, called St. Croix and they said it was an internal glue issue. $50 to replace the rod. This is the second rod I’ve had to replace. First rod was my fault as I tried to swing a fluke over a boat rail. Anyways, for something that isn’t my fault (glue), it seems super hurtful that I’d have to pay $50 for shipping and handling."

Three rods in 9, 10, 1nd 10. 6

"I have three of these rods and so far I have been very impressed. The weight is good for all day casting and they have back bone to set the hook in heavy surf conditions. I use mine in the surf for set rigs and for casting metal. These rods do both with a good price and a quality product."

Very nice rod

"Bought this rod and im very happy with it. My friend accidently threw the top peace in water is there any way i can buy the top peace instead of whole rod?"

Excellent job throwing lead and brining in the fins

"I have been using the medium to throw weights up to 4 oz all day. It brings in the fish and is more importantly an actual surf rod. I have seen lots of guys use salmon / steelhead rods in the surf but they usually wilt because they cannot throw the lead needed in bigger surf conditions. You need the right rod to do the job in all conditions and this one works for me. I have owned my rod for several years now and it is solid. Not one complaint."

Brand new BROKE!!

"Didn’t even get to fish with it. Bought this at a tackle shop. I took it home attached my reel. As I was add line to my reel keeping the line somewhat tight the rod broke. Shit happens right maybe it was messed up. Fine Il get a new one under warranty NOPE!! Gotta pay $50. 00 for a warranty replacement. So now I could have bought a custom rod for the price of this POS. Never will I ever buy another ST. POS again."
