"1st rod ordered via Amazon. Came in poor packaging and was broken as received Returned at no cost. 2nd Rod bought directly from store. Broke easily at the butt below the reel. It was slightly pinched under the boat seat when pulled out. Cracked! With a $60 return and 2 of these rods broken, I decided to not replace"

"We have had four st croix rods break on us with literally no pressure on them. Paying $60 to ship a new rod is a joke. These are expensive rods. They should carry a warranty where you ship a replacement at no cost to the customer. You certainly are no where close to the worlds best rod. There are far better with lower prices and better warranties. It’s sad because your rods used to be great. My son saved forever to buy all these rods. They have been nothing but a massive disappointment. Now he’s out over $1000."
