Great rod

Really enjoying my new GXR rod. Excellent sensitivity and it feels very light. Great casting distance too

Very good packaging, and very speed delivery.

Very good packaging, and very speedy delivery, but the only downside is the reel is ok in terms of quality the outside of the reel was made out of heavy plastic and there is a clicker on the drag system which i dont really like but its a really good rod for the price. but all of that set aside ST Croix is a very good company for rods this is my very first ST Croix and i am very pleased.

Shipping Protection lacking.....Damaged Rod

St. Croix has some room for improvement in their shipping practices. I just received my new GXR only to find the tip broken/bent because it was not protected inside of a flimsy cardboard box during shipment. Needless to say, the rod is unusable and has to be shipped back to St. Croix which leaves me in a bind as I planned on having this rod on an upcoming trip. I have asked for a refund instead of a new rod being shipped back out in the same fashion and possibly sufferring the same issued.
