"Eyecon 10ft medium action Trolling Rod is the best stick for bottom bouncing worm harnesses on Lake Erie 25 to 75 ft water. The rod has backbone to handle 4 ounces of lead & worm harness at same time reaching out a better distance from side of the boat."
"The weather here has not allowed local lakes to fill up from their drawn down winter levels, so it be a few weeks before I can use my new Eyecon Walleye rod. But I am able to practice casting with it. It casts a mile, and I like everything about it so far."
"Waiting for weather to break so I can go fishing. I own many St. Croix rods and I'm sure this one will be great ðŸ‘Â"
"As per usual, St Croix rods never disappoint in both quality and performance. Bought more of these rods with bottom bouncing for walleye in mind as the one that I all ready have set up has been exceptional."
"Overall good quality and what I would expect out of st croix, would have 5 stars if not for the following. The poor decision made within the company is putting a spinning rod eyelet on this rod for some reason, maybe a covid thing when parts were hard to get that was never remedied? I'm only speculating of course but can see why people are breaking them off and have gripes about it. It is not shown to have this in the picture on the site and had i seen it i would have gotten something different. As a long time customer I would urge st croix to rethink this. Just my two cents. I will still continue using, purchasing and enjoying their rods but think others might want to see what the rest of us are talking about. Picture attached. Happy fishing"
"Appears that there certainly is an issue with the design of the Eyecon Walleye 8'6"" collapsible series trolling rod. As another reviewer has mentioned the lower rod eye breaks off from the rod blank. I now have two of the 6 rods I own have experienced the issue. I believe that the length of the eyelet or the composition of it seems to be reason they break. I now have two warranty claims submitted, now one claim is now 12 business days old on one rod and the other was just submitted a few days ago. As of today I have not heard back from them yet, concerning for sure! . I hope that St Croix looks into the issue as I am certain it will happen to all of these rods eventually and they provide a solution . I love the rods and hope they figure out the issue."
"I have 4 Eyecon rods 2 8ft and 2 7ft telescopicall 2 out of the 4 have hade the bottom eyes that have come off. Now I have always loved this product i would have to say that this was a poor design along with that i registered all of them and now i can't find my registered rods anymore on the site. I hope they come up with a way for cusomers to track the warranty better. sincerely yours a wast of my money Thanks Darrell Wood."
"I recently wrote a reviiew about my rods I can truly say that this company is on top of it's game. I had an email the next day and was well taken care of Thank you to the whole Team."
"The eyecon MH Bounce N Troll is a much better choice. This rod (for the same application) is more light and sensitive, but over time developed a horrible bend downward after fishing. Also, when I received it in the mail, It was merely taped to the side of the box, and the box was bent and screwed up. Beware this one."
