"This is my second rod, the first was a premiere that broke on a tree snag. The second an Avid series, was on a bucket list trip in the wilderness and it broke on hauling in some weeds the first day l ever used it. Both were 2 piece rods. Always right above the section where they meet. Still waiting to hear from customer service. I filled out the online warranty 10 days ago."

"I had such a great experience with my warranty submission that I really wonder about the negative reviews I have read about the process. I upgraded an out of warranty Premier spinning rod to an Avid. So instead of $80 I spent $120 to replace a rod I have had for almost 20 years with a new one that would have cost $240. I called Croix first to find out if I could purchase the guides that have broke and the gentleman informed me of the replacement warranty that was available. He could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The online submission was straight forward and quick. I received a warranty confirmation in about 2 weeks and called several times to get information about the rods and what would be best for the way I fish. Each time someone called me back the same day and answered my questions. You have 90 days once your claim is accepted to pick your new rod. All went well and my rod was shipped and of course FedEx or UPS sent me an email that it was delivered while I was home so I ran outside and you guessed it, the rod wasn’t there. They delivered it to the wrong address so I started a claim with them and called Croix to let them know that it was lost. Again they were great and told me once FedEx/UPS confirms the package was lost they would send a new one. Soon after I received an email that the new rod has shipped. This time it got to me in perfect shape. They ship them in a super sturdy rod tube unlike the triangle box that Cabela's ships them in. With service like I received and the rod being made in America I never even consider switching companies. I have another Avid that is 23 years old that landed 8 large rainbows in Tennessee this week. Couldn’t be happier with the company, the service, and the product. FYI paired the new ML with a Diawa Tatula 2500. If you know a better combo I will be shocked."
"I bought this rod setup for my 14 year old daughter for her birthday. She was fishing with a Lees and doing ok. But since getting the Avid, she is feeling bites and hammering smallmouth. Now my wife wants one. This is my 4th St. Croix rod, and we are now a St. Croix family."
