Paired with a clam

"Paired with a clam inline reel and couldn’t be happier, I can feel the light bite and get the hook set no issues with the rod."

Might be the best ice fishing rod I have ever used

"Medium Heavy 34 in Mojo Ice Spinning Rod. So, to preface this review, I haven't used this rod much yet. Now that being said this rod is fantastic. This rod is flat rigid. Admittedly it was a bit heavier than I expected. That being said this rod flat buries the hook in lake trout in deep water. The 34 in rod combined with its stiffness makes a great hook set. Not to mention Plus, the reel seat is fantastic on this rod. I have large hands (size xl gloves and this rod fits my hand great. I really like that you can feel the actual carbon rod through the handle. My thumb or index finger (depending how I am holding the rod) lands perfectly on that exposed rod and it significantly increases sensitivity. The eyelets are large enough that they don't ice up to bad even when using braid. I haven't landed any true giants on this rod yet, but it has handled fighting fish well and I was worried with the stiffness of the rod that it wouldn't keep a tight line on smaller fish. I shouldn't have been worried since the tip is flexible enough to keep the line tight even on smaller fish. Plus using this rod, I know I have the backbone to handle a 40"" lake trout. A couple of things I would change is a slightly larger eyelet on the tip. My swivel gets hung up a little when coming through the tip. Carbon eyelets or flexible eyelets would help remove most of the icing. However, at this price point you are hard pressed to find a better ice fishing rod."

very sensitive rod and great back bone

"very sensitive rod and great back bone. The handle isn't as comfortable for jigging as I hoped, but it is a great rod. the soft tip is excellent for dead sticking or bouncing on the bottom and has enough back bone to set the hook into a pike or lake trout."
