Im St croix guy. Currently

"Im St croix guy. Currently got 5 rod. Big mistake was buying anchor. twise tip was broken . Second time snap on middle of the tip. Dont buy St Croix anymore."

Great for stripe bass

"Great for stripe bass off the rocks from shore. Sensitive enough to feel soft bites. Enough backbone to haul in the big ones. Cast far enough like a surf rod without the weight."

Warren (5/5)

Ive never seen such

"I've never seen such crooked fishing rods before."

Krzysztof (3/5)

Light weight yet unbelievably light

"I just can’t get over this special rod. It possesses such get power and potential for biggest fish you will find. Because of all of St. Criox’s high tech materials and craftsmanship, this is feather light with the feel of an ultra-light pole. It will launch heavy lures with easy but has the feel to cast a 5†plastic worm without any weights nearly 90 feet. I will be buying more of this series for sure. I love it. Ken"

carbon handle onchore 9 foot med fast action first 20 steelhead

"great rod good backbone for handling large steelhead and nice crisp hook sets."

Onchor Salmon/Steelhead 9'-6"" M Spinning Rod - Subpar

"This rod is a downgrade from the previous Avid Salmon/Steelhead Rods that they used to make for the same price point. These rods have a very noodle-y blank that make them a lot less sensitive than my other St Croix Salmon rods (9'-0"" Medium Avid, 9'-0"" Legend Elite). This would be fine for use as a bobber (Skein/Shrimp/etc) rod where a slow action can help keep fish pinned, but it doesn't quite stack up as a jigging rod for spoons or plastics."

Big LET DOWN

"The self proclaimed ""Greatest rods on earth. "" Well. . . 2nd time using it trolling and it snapped on me. I have lesser cheaper rods that hold up and have held up better than this rod. Complete shock when it snapped. 10'6"" salmon trolling rod. Hopefully they warranty it. Sonce I just bought it this year as a present for my girl since it is the 1st purple rod I coukd find. Wont be buying another after the way this one broke."

Jered S. (1/5)

AVID was better

"I Like AVID better than this one. . . but you guys don't make more salmon steelhead rods. . . it is sad"

Onchor 10. 6 Medium 6-15

"Very light responsive rod , cast great , very similar feel to the discontinued avid 10. 6 Medium even with the different line rating , my only issue is the cork handle is way too thin imo , also the foregrip should be a little longer , the avid had a wider round knob type foregrip that imo was nicer but I like the rod alot after 1. 5hr casting , but no fish to really test it , easily handled 3/4 oz lure"
