It’s a Christmas present so
"It’s a Christmas present so I haven’t tried it yet but it feels great. My old fishing partner used Avid rods and used to say you can feel the fish breath on the lure. I hope that’s still true. Thank you."
Amazing rods, I've been able
"Amazing rods, I've been able to get out fall walleye fishing with them and the ability to feel a very subtle bite while dragging crawlers in the Wolf River is exceptional."
The rods are real nice.
"The rods are real nice. The fit of the reel seats and butt caps to the cork is not what you used to provide, though."
Easy to break, very brittle
"This is my second rod, the first was a premiere that broke on a tree snag. The second an Avid series, was on a bucket list trip in the wilderness and it broke on hauling in some weeds the first day l ever used it. Both were 2 piece rods. Always right above the section where they meet. Still waiting to hear from customer service. I filled out the online warranty 10 days ago."
