Hasn't Lasted 2 Months

This rod was great for the month that I had it. It had fantastic feel and was a great length when broken down. However, after around a half-dozen trips to the river, this rod broke around 4" above the handle mid-fight. I've always fished St. Croix rods when trout fishing (and any creek or river fishing for that matter) and never had a problem, but now I'm out a rod for several weeks while the warranty processes and have to pay $50 for to replace a rod that didn't even make but a handful of trips.

Best trout rod

This rod is unbelievable. I've owned a lot of trout rods and this is by far the best. I have the ML and it is so light, you think you'd break it right away but it just doesn't happen. I've landed a tone on rainbows and browns on the rod, I even landed a 30in bowfin. If you want the best trout rod, look no further.

Beautiful trout action

I bought the 7,3 ml . Trout fishing is complex . If it’s possible to have one rod that’s good for everything this is it . If you’re a bait fisherman like crawlers/ minnows its soft enough to feel take’s without the fish feeling you . Its also just fast enough to be able to throw spinners, small body baits or small cleos with no problem. If fish mostly small lakes and ponds and the little extra length help for longer casts . The build quality is 10 out of 10 on the rod I received. Being a pack rod I would rather they include a hard case instead of the padded one that comes with it . They also need to offer a 7 ft 6 inch 2 peice lake / pond model in a light and medium light .
