Pringles are stronger

Put the rod in my truck. I did not crush, drop, snag or the like. It broke before getting to my garage, let alone a boat. I DID NOT mishandle it..

Eyes are not wrapped good

Bought the ultralight in the 6'. the blank itself is nice. Handles all the panfish no problem but the one thing that is going to make me think again about another st. Croix is that all the eyes are half wrapped, I can see the metal of the eye through the epoxy and my very bottom one is lose only after a month of use. I don't beat on my rods and they stay on a rod rack in my house if im not fishing with them. I take care of my stuff. To see this everytime I Pick it up bothers me.

Best yet in Panfish series!

I already own last years Panfish model, this years Panfish model and while the handles are good on them, I have to say the AVID Panfish is THE BEST! I use 7' Panfish in Light with XF taper for big gills and crappies (and occasional Largemouth Bass or pesky Northerns). This rod has been able to handle them all quite nicely. The new eyes on this rod make it more unique from the others as well and the difference was outstanding as the fish were at the edges of what this rod could cast and I was able to out fish my buddy because of this distance. I finally gave up my rod to let him catch a few fish as well. Great rod!

So good

Received the ASPS70LXF a couple days ago and I love it already it’s super light, sensitive, crisp just an all around great feeling rod 10/10 would recommend trying one

Fresh !

I brought two of these rods a few weeks ago from Bass Pro Shop. I grabbed the ASPS70LXF and paired them with the Shimano Stradic ci4+ 1000. I took one out and fished the Monocacy River in Western Maryland. The new Avid Panfish is a beast ! It’s light, responsive, sensitive and it feels really good in the hand. You can cast with it for hours. I pulled In smallmouth bass up to 14” and red breast sunfish up to 6” without a problem. The little section of EVA is a game changer for comfort in the grip section. I really like this rod. I think I’ll probably grab two more before they sell out. I’ve been fishing with St. Croix rods for about 15 years, the new Avid Panfish is a welcomed addition to my arsenal.
