We've been called to practice social distancing, give up our normal routines and face the unknown together.
Luckily though for many of us, we're still able to pursue our passions and practice what binds us together in this global "angling family."
This is what sparked #WeGoFishing. A social response to coming together as a family... albeit, separately.
*Please follow your state's laws and guidelines, we realize the landscape is not the same for everyone and changes day by day.
" The world has changed and my full-time job has me right in the middle of it. My escape is the boat and fishing. There's no better place to destress than being on the water. Right now the walleye run is happening. It's giving me a chance to distance myself from all the negativity and stress. Put a rod in my hand and just breathe. "

" With everything going on, I’ve found myself on the boat fairly often clearing my head. After a long workday, I headed out with CJ Peppe to pull stone crab traps and throw a jig. This has always been the perfect way to socially distance ourselves from the chaos occurring inland. After an hour on the boat with our minds at ease; we’re coming home with fresh flounder and stone crabs for dinner. #Wegofishing "

" Getting out on the water can be a true gasp of fresh air from all the things going on amongst us today. Please be sensible and be cautious at the same time if you are heading out to fish. Here is a pic of a nice walleye I caught on Lake Erie in OH just 2 miles from my home this past Saturday evening right before a big storm arrived.
Please be sure to follow any state, county or city mandates and adhere to the set restrictions. We are in this together. Let's work as a team from a distance. Get out if you are in an area you can legally do so and get some fresh air and please do your best to be observant and smart about keeping your distance at the same time.

" Social distancing has been somewhat of a “normal” theme throughout much of my life. As an avid angler and outdoors enthusiast, I’m thankful that my daily routines haven’t been drastically altered in the wake of current events. The pre-spawn bite is just starting to get good, and there’s no better time to find refuge out on the water. Stay safe and healthy everyone. "

" I know things aren't exactly ideal in our current world. I encourage you to focus on whatever positive you can. For many of us, that means fishing. Most lakes and ramps are open so I encourage you to go out and enjoy everything nature has to offer this time of year. Stay safe. #WeGoFishing "

" Living in the Epicenter of the Covid-19 outbreak we all need to take things seriously and control our contact with each other as much as possible, we must all do our part to break the curve and not spread this thing around anymore then it already has. With that said I am still able to get out and scout around and find areas that attract my finned friends and not too many humans, especially in the Non-Human hours and weather patterns of the spring in NJ !!! Social distancing is not a big problem at the right time and in the right conditions, if there was to be a few other fishermen in any one area I just move on to the next spot until I feel like I can do my thing and not come in contact with anyone other then family and my closest friends with whom I normally pursue my passions with !!! The funny part is that’s how I fish whether we had this virus threat or not, The Life of a striper hunter is one spent with as few people around you as possible !!!
Good Luck and Be Safe out there !!! "

" Here in Michigan, things are in flux from one week to the next. Launches are closing left and right on the Detroit River, and sections of our trout streams have closed down due to repeated violations of the six-foot rule. The first two stops of the Michigan Walleye Tour have been canceled because of the 10 people in a group rule. Down here on Lake Erie through the launches are still open and while trolling is producing some nice fish, there is nothing like setting the hook on a walleye while snapping hair jigs off the bottom.
