LEGEND® XTREME CASTING ROD

My second St. Croix rod XFC74HF

Since a long time I own a St. Croix glass rod that is not in use anymore. Since 18 months I own my XFC74HF, for casting jigs, crank- and twitchbaits. It's a great rod, very sensitive for casting all kind of stuff, mostly lighter weights, but it has enough body and backbone to get big pikes onboard. Great rod!

LOVE the rods but that is a key size for Smallmouth waters! VERY disappointed that you guys quit making it. For the Legend XTREME Line

Phenomenal Rod

Only thing I have to complain is that it’s a little pricey but it’s worth every penny. I own almost every high end rod from every brand and this rod stands hands down as the best. Then again if you don’t know how to fish, and where to fish it doesn’t really matter. Best of luck to everyone!

Worth it

I just got the 7' Mf casting and it's amazing I put a quantum pt tour s3, 27ipt with 10lbs suffix advance florocarbon, the balance is right in the palm of my hand unbelievable feel and sensitivity, I have never felt anything quite like it, amazing job St. Criox, thank you. Saving up to get 6'8" M,ExF spinning rod next hopefully.

Insanely Sensitive? ABSOLUTELY!

Finally upgraded to the 7" Med Fast in September 2020. During October Fall fishing, on a Minnesota lake that had already turned over, found Walleye in 50 feet of water. Stacked, my buddies and I were jigging and catching plenty of nice sized keepers. With this rod I could feel every tap and the hook sets were fast, efficient and successful. Went back to the lake one week later, on a calm blue sky day, and wacked a 28" and 26" in 70 feet of water! Again, the sensitivity of this rod greatly contributed to the success of boating these Walleye, as I had to bring them up slowly while keeping the line tight and hook secure. Stayed comfortable in my hand all day with no fatigue. So light and comfortable with all of the finer details and top notch qualities St Croix Rod has come to be known for. Absolutely love this new Legend Extreme. Confidence in your equipment is a big key to catching fish of any kind at any time. This new Legend Extreme rod instills the necessary confidence as my new "go to". Thinking/hoping there will be two or three more under my Christmas tree next month!
