On 3-2-09 I caught the largest pike I have ever caught in my life on Lake of the Woods while ice fishing for walleyes. The pike measured 47" long, 28" girth, and weighed right at thirty pounds! I was using six pound test line on the St. Croix 28" medium action Premier Ice Rod. The fight ended up lasting 45 minutes and after a few pitures and measurements I released the fish to be caught another day!
